In today's rapidly evolving workplace, resilience is a crucial skill that empowers individuals to navigate challenges, bounce back from setbacks and maintain high performance. Building resilience enhances your ability to adapt to change, but it also promotes well-being and encourages a positive work environment.
Despite best endeavours, there will be times when things do not go to plan. Senior leaders should look to factor in contingencies to reflect this. Whilst sometimes it is natural to feel disheartened, use this opportunity to look at route cause. Adopt a mindset for agile and corrective action planning, which in turn drives continual improvement. Take the positives from every challenge faced as a failure today can be a win tomorrow.

Collaborate and share. Ensure you nurture a culture of open and honest communication which in turn promotes shared ownership. Pressures faced alone can be challenging but collectively can be more easily overcome.
Also, don't forget to reflect on past wins. It is likely at times of uncertainty and strain that focus is solely on the challenges in hand. It is easy to lose sight of past achievements. To support this, senior leaders should recognise, celebrate, and acknowledge successes and wins as they are achieved.
Lastly remember life is a journey not a sprint and every day is a school day.
